Cookie Policy
Effective
DRAFT — Not yet reviewed by counsel.
This policy is a starting draft for attorney review. It is NOT legal advice and does NOT bind RapidThumbnails until reviewed, edited, and approved by qualified counsel licensed in the operating jurisdiction. Do not rely on this document as currently written.
This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and similar storage technologies (collectively "cookies") used by RapidThumbnails, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use related client-side storage mechanisms (localStorage, sessionStorage) for similar purposes. The practical effect of all of these is the same; this Policy refers to them collectively as cookies.
2. Categories We Use
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to function and are always set:
sb-access-token,sb-refresh-token— Supabase session cookies set after you sign in. HTTP-only.tg_trial— HMAC-signed free-trial counter for the no-signup trial.- Cloudflare and Vercel infrastructure cookies that protect against bots and DDoS, and route traffic to the nearest data center.
2.2 Functional (localStorage)
Set client-side to remember your preferences. No personal data leaves your browser through these:
tg_clip_caption_style— your selected caption preset.tg_clip_caption_color_overrides— your per-preset colour customisations.
2.3 Analytics
We currently do not use third-party analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and request consent where required by law (EU ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR).
2.4 Advertising
We do not use advertising cookies and do not share personal data with ad networks.
3. Managing Cookies
You can clear cookies, block cookies, or set preferences in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Service that require sign-in or that rely on the trial counter will not work.
To clear RapidThumbnails functional preferences only, open your browser's developer tools and remove the keys listed in Section 2.2 from localStorage.
4. Updates
We will update this Policy when our cookie usage changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
